I have a situation where I need to install some development environments for a new project with SAP Work Manager 6.1 and SMP 3.0.
The issue is that these machines do not have direct, unfettered access to the nominated SAP Application Server.
For SAP GUI to connect to the application server from these dev boxes it needs to use a SAP Router string of the form : "/H/proxyname/S/3299/H/appsrvname"
My question to the forum is this. Can an SMP server process running (development mode) on a machine use a SAP Router string to connect instead of going directly to the App Server?
The JavaBE.ini only has a line for server under the [HOST] section so I am guessing not. Is there another undocumented feature where I can put a SAP Router string in there instead (or as well).
